He seems like the best person to buy from, based on all of your recommendations.

But, how long does it take him to ship a new pen?

Thanks,

Maybe ask him by PM or email- that is probably the best route.

I will say I bought a Pelikan nib from him quite awhile back, and it arrived quite quickly.

Pretty much as long as it takes any other seller. Assuming you buy a stock nib. A "Binder" stock nib that is. IOW, if you buy one of the preground specialty nibs you'll get it shipped quickly. If you have some sort of special request that he doesn't usually keep in stock that will be different.

Just received my confirmation e-mail and Barbara said it would ship on Saturday.
I think it's safe to say that I'm excited.

Good Choice buying from Richard.

I rarely buy new pens, but have bought a Filcao (three or four years ago) and a couple of nibs and the shipping is almost immediate. Great communication too. If I remember, they emailed to say they got the order, then to say that it had shipped.

Enjoy the new pen.

I concur. Great service, very personable, and they sell great pens that write incredibly well.

You did well. Also, from Richard, you will be assured of a great-writing nib.

Earlier this year I bought a M215 with a broad nib custom ground to stub italic from Richard Binder. Absolutely fantastic pen! I'd recommend Richard's pens, nibs and service to everyone.

I second that, I am actually thinking about getting a 600 done up flex style! My watermans might get jealous of Binders great flowing pens!

Edit: I know pens don't have emotions...

Just buy it. Pensellers don't come any better than Richard and Barbara Binder.

Guess I'll add that besides being a wonderful pen seller/nib master, Richard provides a website that is a fountain pen university in itself. We are indeed fortunate that Richard so unselfishly shares his knowledge and advice. Barbara provides state of the art customer service. I like them a lot. /Craig

I realize you've ordered already! However, still posting my little bit for anyone who might read the thread!

For what it's worth, I think you should get it within a week for sure. I of course wouldn't mind getting my pens the next day, but in any case -- the only pen I got was ordered Sunday, shipped Wednesday, arrived by Friday.

The little note he gives you about how he filled the pen with Waterman ink, etc, really made my day sort of, just because I value my writing instruments, and it's just nice getting it from someone with that attitude! Not to mention the very real pleasure of the immediate writing experience.
