I've recently stumbled across the next pen I would like to acquire. The Laban Don Quixote DQ-F100 (image attached.)

My question is, does anyone have experience with the Laban brand? What is their quality like? Does anyone know if this model is even available in the U.S. yet? I thought I saw it somewhere online for around $300.00 but I'm not sure where I saw it at. Does this sound like a fair price for a Laban pen?

As always, your guidance/opinions are appreciated.

Todd at isellpens.com (not affiliated) sells the fountain pen version for $425.00, with an MSRP of $470.00. I would be surprised if someone else sold it for much less than that. The roller ball is offered at $306.00 with an MSRP f $370.00.

Laban has a really amazing range of price points, so most people will have experience with their lower-end pens (like the Mento). I have a Mento and a Snake pen. I prefer the Snake pen, which is a very nice old-style pen.

I have a wood Laban model, based on the same model you are looking at.
My pen is all wood, so it is at a lower price point than the relief pens like the Don Q.

I bought this pen two/three years ago at the Philly pen show. The US distributor for Laban was there, and he was looking for propective dealers while selling pens to those that attended.

This pen is a good value for the money. It is a heavy pen that is still comfortable to write with. My pen is a medium, with "Laban Iridium" etched on the two-tone nib. It is a great writer and good daily user.

I was looking for more info on Laban once, and I found Todd's site (isellpens). It was through his link that I discovered FPN! If you can beat his prices, I recommend it!
