Here goes -- don't laugh:

The only cartridges available in town here are Waterman. From the picture, they look similar to the empty Parker cartridge I have. Am I lucky enough to have found a substitue -- as in, do Waterman cartridges work in Parker's? I have a Vector I actually like and will be travelling with soon. Would like to bring just cartridges, so am grabbing at straws here before plunking down the dough for shipping etc.

Ok -- now you can laugh... roflmho.gif

The nipple on the Parker that pierces the cardridge is too big for the recess in the top of the Waterman cartridge.

On the other hand, if you trim (with a razor blade or sharp utility knife) 1 millimeter or so off the top (business end) of a Parker cartridge, the shorter Waterman-type nipple will be able to pierce the Parker cardtidge.

Thank you, Romagno, for the detailed -- and kind -- reply! :0)
