They were so innocent back then LOL. Thanks for sharing this. It really brought a smile to my face at work today.

Thanks, that got me to write a quick thank you note to the people who hosted us at their country home this weekend - which makes one less thing on my list of things to do this week.
I write letters like that to people whom I don't know well. With more familiar correspondents I may use a
circle journal, or I'll fill a
small Apica over the course of a few days and send it off, sometimes I illustrate my letters with cartoons and other things I may have seen recently - mostly I just prattle on about nothing.

Ah, The Age of Innocence. It might seem quaint, but it does impart good information.

I thought so - just from the hooded nib though, so it could be a 21 or a Parkette.
Thanks for the vid link - I really enjoyed the "excellent example of how to make a letter like that more interesting"!

That video is amazing.
I think it is a 51, actually. Looked about that size.

When Nora uncaps it, you can see it is a Double Jeweled 51, then the video is cut, then the cap is posted without us seeing.
EDIT: I changed my mind, it isn't a DJ. What I thought was a jewel and tassie was just reflecting light.

I enjoyed the film and it definitely has useful information (e.g. imagine how the reader feels). I have to admit my first though when I started watching was of the Harry Enfield sketches e.g:

Letter writing, a lost art. I may be a little old fashioned, but I think life would be a little better if we all took the time to send letters of thanks, friendship, etc, to keep in touch with friends and family.
