Just found it yesterday. Its a Tudor notebook available in A4 and A5 called Eco Notebook. Its a recycled paper product so I feared the worst when I picked it up. But the apper, an ivory colour with red ruling, felt good. I bought the A5 for $3. It has a hard cover with a red spiral. Paper behaves very well with a range of FPs including my Parker duofolds, Lamys. snorkels and a couple of others.
I will play some more and add to this thread but right now this is one of the finds of the year for me, especially at the price. They say you can also get office pads in the same stock but I haven't found them as yet.

You can add to the list Phaze 1 products and New Global Trading notebooks. I found both in a Home Depot type shop at Camden.

The Phaze 1 products are hard, thin paper from China that doesn't feather or bleed with most pens and inks, including dip pens, and the white paper shows the ink colour very nicely.

The New Global Trading notebook paper is thicker and softer, but still very nice to write on, with minimal or no bleeding or feathering.
This is their website page for notebooks.

Amongst many other product types, they also have this umbrella (put your sunnies on, please...)

Home Depot type store? Which one specifically? Was it an Officeworks? They sound interesting.

It was one of those generic homewares shops that are full of Asian products, in Argyle St, Camden. Next time I'm there, I'll get its name properly.

BTW, I just bought one of the A4 Tudor Eco notebooks at Officeworks, for $4.99. They also had the Eco A4 pads there, but the paper felt different, and I didn't buy one.

I agree with you on the quality of the paper, it feels and writes like a thinner version of Clairefontaine notebook paper.

In another thread, someone was praising 4CC paper by Stora Enso. It was also in stock at Officeworks, in 100, 120 and 160gsm. $20 for a ream of A4 100 gsm, so it is priced similar to HP and Clairefontaine.

I saw those Eco notebooks a few months ago - I passed on them at the time. Looks like I'll be going to check them out! smile.gif
