I currently have an M250 demonstrator in Amber. I would prefer an the same pen in all black. Before I swap, is the Amber rare or anything, or will I be able to get one later if I so desire?

Hi Garageboy,

The demonstrators, any demonstrator from the M2xx line will be very hard to come by pretty soon. There is no confirmation from Pelikan that they are discontinuing this line, but they are treating them as 'old stock' (any that are left). I'd hang on to your amber demonstrator if I were you.

Keep the demo - it'll be worth more in a year's time. I bought a M205 for $75 from a store about 2 months ago. They are now selling for $100 on ebay and $200+ in some stores (if you can find them).

Okay, sounds wise

Oh heck, I can solve your problem and take that pesky demo off your hands for $50.

Hi,

I would also hold onto the Amber demo, the Black ones are fairly common I think (at least the old style ones), I have three of the old ones with the dome tops, 2 came with gold nibs, although I have swapped one into my Red demo to add a bit more class.

If you decided you really wanted to swap I might be tempted, I already have an Amber demo and am really on the lookout for the other colours, but would be nice to keep one unused.

The Amber, Red, Green, and Anthracite M200 pens are discontinued to my knowledge.
There have been threads here about this previously. These pens are hard to come by new, since dealers are only working with old stock available (if any).

I have a red M200. I also have an M205 and others Pels. I would hold on to this pen.
By the all black if you really want it!
