Hello! I want to know your thoughts or impression of Graf Von Faber-Castell Classic Collection FP.
I'm considering purchasing one, but I don't know much about the pen (reliability, balance of the pen, smoothness of nib etc.)
Some people say that the pen is top-heavy and the barrel is thin so it's not practical at all, at least not for long time writing.
Does anybody own the pen and care to give me advice or impression of the pen? smile.gif

Thanks Garageboy!
I wish I could try the pen, but there're are no stores that have this pen nearby
my house.

Welcome to FPN, hiro!

Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to try any Faber-Castell pens myself. I hope that there are other members who have tried the pen and therefore more able to help you.

In the meantime, would you be able to post a picture of the pen as I have tried looking for the Classic Collection at a couple of websites but they don't seem to list it?

Thanks grasshopper!
This is the fountain pen I'm considering purchasing.
It looks wonderful isn't it?

Yup, it definitely looks wonderful, hiro! What's not to love? Wood. Cool. Silver/Chrome cap and trims. Cool and cool. (Actually, it might be just a tad too thin for my current liking, but I can get over that. biggrin.gif )

Don't know if you post your pens either, but I think it might become a bit long if the cap is placed on the end of the barrel. Personally, I don't like to post any of my pens, apart from my Sailor pocket pens.

Hope our fellow nutters who have or have tried this pen can chime in and help you out.

Good luck, hiro.

I have this pen with the grenadilla barrel. It's a great pen. I just tried to post it and I can't without forcing the cap onto the barrel. The weight of the pen is balanced without posting. As long as you don't mind the grip being metal, I would highly recommend it.
I bought my pen second hand and the nib had already been worked on so I don't know how these write out of the box.
IMHO this is a superbly engineered pen.
