Full Version: New Berrel for Parker Duofold

I have a Parker Duofold nib section but not the barrel. I have looked for a replacement barrel but haven't had much luck. Does anyone in this forum know who makes berrel sections? It has to look nice but it does not have to match the original Duofold barrel. I just want something that I can screw onto the nib section so I can start using the pen again.

Thanks,
Aldo

You've come to an interesting (maybe even the right) place. Just about anyone could make a new barrel for you, all we need to know is what the threads are on the section, or we could do something weird, like glue your section into a new barrel piece, and then work on a split in the larger barrel so you can still get to the cartridge/converter, etc. In other words, there are many ways to skin this cat.

So, anyone know what the threads specs are on a Duofold?

Alternately, you could buy a trashed out duofold from ebay, hopefully not spend too much, and then just put your working nib section into it. I know I've seen some run through there that don't have nibs, don't have caps, etc. Maybe try posting on the parts wanted forum here?

Aldo,

Can you let us know which model Duofold you have - a pic would also help if possible, of a link to a pic elsewhere.

Sorry folks, I should have been more specific. The model is a Duofold Centennial, the modern replica. The section has an 18K (F) nib. I have another complete Duofold Centennial with orange barrel (big red?). I used to swop the barrel between the two nibs but since I had the B nib ground to a cursive italic, I have been using that pen exclusively (I like it so much!).
