The Pelikano is made of a tougher plastic, cheaper, the cap clicks securely and posts correctly. I got a Future only because of the cool green.
Any thoughts?

I liked the look and finish of the Future Silver (the rubberised grip and rubberised clip connection are -ve points as far as i am concerned). At that time the pelikano had a full steel cap and clip and a translucent body, the nib shape was also diffrent from Future. Also I think pelikanos are available only in M nib whereas Future is available in F,M and B?

The Pelikano and the Future have the same nib, so it should be possible to get a Pelikano with F or B nib, too.
I have found that the clip and the silver-coloured plating of the Future are not very durable. I prefer the Pelikano.

The Future is more comfortable in my hand.

Hi,
Pelikano only comes with F and M, Future comes with F, M, and B.
I can make a B Pelikano for you by exchanging the nibs from a Future.
I can also make a 1.1, 1.5, or 2.0 MM italic Pelikano for you by exchanging the nib of a Pelikan Script.
Personally, I like the Pelikano more because it is made of more durable materials, and the looks are nicer in my opinion. A lot of people seem to like the Future, but in my shop, more people buy Pelikano and Pelikano Jr.

My daughter's Pelikano has an "A" nib, whatever that means. Seems like a medium.

Will either take a convertor?
Neither my Waterman convertor nor my Rotring will go in
Thanks!

Pelikan makes their own converters.

Hi:
Dillon has said everything. I have one future B nib and one Pelikano M. Nibs come bolder than other Pelikan nibs the same grade, but you can write "inverse" for a narrower line, nice pens.

You can use a Lamy converter in a Pelikano, but only if you don't mind making the installation permanent: on my penbash, I had to permanently seal it in place with hot-melt glue.
Of course, given how I feel about cartridges, I didn't mind. But if I had it to do all over again, and I could find the correct converter for the pen, and if it were as easy to extend out the blind end of the pen as the Lamy was, and if it doesn't depend on the internal ribs in the blind end of the barrel to stay in place, then I'd get the Pelikan converter.
