Hello! Nuntym here, a 30 year old physician hailing from sunny/rainy Quezon City.

I've been lurking since---wow! January 2008?! I didn't know I was lurking THAT long embarrassed_smile.gif --- I got this wonderful fountain pen from Inoxcrom and wanted to know how to use and take care of it. And I have to say, I have learned quite a lot since.

I now own a Parker Vector and a rOtring Renaissance, and I think I'm gonna buy some more once I've saved money. And all because FPN made me a fountainpen ADDICT!! puddle.gif Thank you FPN biggrin.gif But seriously, I've grown to love fountain pens and handwriting, and especially the people here, even though they don't know me yet....and so now I think it's time to dip into this wonderful community bunny01.gif

Welcome to FPN.

i'm posting this in all the threads that filipinos have been posting in--this is an invitation from me to host a get-together of all pen-loving pinoys on FPN and on the philippine macintosh users group (philmug).

folks, based on the responses here and on philmug, it looks like saturday, july 5, will be the time when most of us can get together.

so let's set it for that date now so you can fix that in your datebooks, and those who can't or who are tentatively unable to make it as of today can still find workarounds, if they want to attend (sali na kayo--you probably won't see this many pens in one place; newbies welcome!) i've posted this same message on philmug as well.

we'll have at least two more people from philmug attending. if you know of anybody else interested in pens, bring 'em along!

2:00 pm, Saturday, July 5 / Butch Dalisay's house
9 Juan Luna, Area 2, UP Campus, Diliman, Quezon City
tel 928-7364 mobile 0917-5300951

(go into UP, find the post office/shopping center area; go past the post office down A. Roces, turn left at the very end; that's Juan Luna. look for the house with the white fence and the white VW beetle in the garage). text or call me if you get lost! and kindly confirm here if you can make it, thanks!

Quoted for truth...
Farmer Brown
"penman" - Ah. Ex - PSHS, The Philippine Star... My Ma reads your column!

Does National Bookstore still have Rotring 700 Series Fountain Pens? I was shocked to see them costing as much as $200 on eBay - rarely available, at that.

hi, farmer brown--thanks! will look into those rotrings. sometimes NBS has great bargains--like 50% off on all auroras (that went on for like a year, and i'm sorry now that i didn't avail myself of it).
