Do they exist?

yes but hard to find and not cheap.
I saw one at the Philly show in a Snorkel. I think it went for 400.00

Yes they do exist, I have one somewhere here. Seems the way to tell is the nib is monotone and the lines from the breather hole are straight instead of curved if I remember right. I'll have to try and find that snorkel around here. Of course flex is a relative term, it's no wet noodle Waterman but it will give some line variation.

Mmm, I would love to get my hands on one of those. Susan Wirth let me check out hers and it was fantastic.

I have one that I would call semi-flex. I inherited it from my uncle. It doesn't have straight lines.
I have never been sure if it was intentionally that way, or just a feature of Canadian-made Snorkel Triumphs, since I don't have another one like it to compare with.
A sure thing, it's definitely not a nail, though.

Well it depends what you call flexible. I have a TM Touchdown with a 'flexible' nib - it's a two-tone gold nib, medium-broad, and it flexes up to a point... but being a broadish point to start with the line width variation isn't particularly noticeable. It does give quite easily without much pressure - if 'going for it', there is a definite limit to its flexion and at just over double the normal line width the feed can't deliver enough flow and you get two separate lines.
I would post pics and a writing sample but I'm about 150 miles from the pen in question at the moment. I got it from Andy's Pens about a year ago, but I don't recall it being particularly that much more expensive than any other Snorkel or Touchdown in my collection.

Yes. They do some flex quite nicely. In the Philly show I came across and tested one of them. After that show I wrote:
"I came across an FF5 triumph nib - people have been saying that triuph nibs don't flex. My god that nib was awesome. Despite the very high price tag ($400) I was (almost) tempted only to hear from the seller that .... the pen was not for sale ... Maybe it was for my own good."

Well I just got a Flexy Triumph Nib on eBay, and I think after a little adjustment from Richard it is going to be a star.

WOW! Did the seller know it was a flexy triumph or was it a sumgai score?

I saw that pen, it's a Touchdown, isn't it? I wondered when I saw it and this thread at close to the same time if there might be some connection. Personally, I can't imagine what a sweet pen that has got to be. Talk about the best of both worlds... a Triumph Touchdown with some flex! And if I recall that closed at a pretty reasonable price (but way beyond my father-of-five budget). Way to go and congratulations!

It came right from Rob Morrison. It closed at $240 dollars, which I thought was a very reasonable price for a Flexy Touchdown. The point is quite broad, but I have no problem with having Richard make it a little finer when I see him at D.C.

Heresy..... Sorry, I love broads. A vintage flexy broad sounds like too good to be true....... please don't touch it.

It isn't super flexy like a vintage Waterman's Nib, so unless I get it made into a finer point, the flex really doesn't show up too well....

That's not a Triumph nib. It is an open nib.

Had one on a Plunger fill 1250 that was soo sweet. Too bad I am a ham handed leftie and cannot write with any flex at all. Sold it a couple of years ago, but did not get some fantastically huge price for it.
I do recall that the two lines which separate the tines from the rest of the nib were shallower than most you see on the conical nibs. These lines separate the masking on the nib from the gold portion.

The above is an image of the flexy conical nib Sheaffer.
Cheers,
Sean
