I am new to the Conway Stewart brand and do not yet own one, but love the look of most of them. However, they are a little beyond my price range at this point.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a model which I might find used at a price level I could handle? (under $150) I have seen a number up for auction on eBay, but want to be sure that I'm getting a good deal.
Thanks for any suggestions.

The cheapest is the Wellington. Contact Pam Braun and she will give you an excellent price.

I did get a brand new Dandy on EBay for a fantastic price from a seller in Spain, but I'll admit I would be wary of spending huge amounts on EBay. There was one UK seller, don't know if he's still selling who used to have quite a few new CS pens which seemed to sell rather cheaply. For whatever reason they were always being sold without their boxes or warranty cards and that wasn't always apparent from the auction descriptions.
I got another second hand Dandy from another forum member on here, so trusted what I would be getting and then I bought a 58 at a Pen Show, again for a very good price and it's my current favourite pen.
I've got to admit I haven't really looked to see where the best prices might be for current models because they're all too big / heavy for my liking. I decided which ones I actually liked once I'd had the chance to handle all the different models at one of the pen shows.

Why not try a vintage CS28 or 58? In your price range you should get a nice one.Beautiful reliable writers with some of the best writing nibs ever.
Buy from a reputable vintage CS dealer though as Ebay quality is unpredictable.

Thank you for the recommendation, I've been watching some on eBay - eBay.uk seems to be have the best selections. Would you be able to recommend some reliable vintage dealers. I really believe that this is the direction I will go, I'm an antique lover anyway (my entire house is furnished with antiques and yard sale 'finds'). Thanks again!

Can't suggest any US sellers, but you might want to look at www.writetime.co.uk or Ian Williamson of www.cathedralpens.co.uk is a member here and also sells on EBay, don't know how many pens he sells that way because I just tend to go looking for ink sacs and things.

I have always found Dr Barry Rose at www.writetime.co.uk to be a perfect gentleman with very reasonable prices and great pens. I also understand that Barry is very highly regarded in the world of music, but that is a different tale.
