Found that the local Kinokuniya bookstore has begun stocking Platinum Preppy pens. Despite already having two inbound from jpens, I couldn't resist picking up another in blue-black, and a very light blue cartridge refill pack (with two carts). As I already had platinum blue-black in another pen, I decided to try out the blue...

My summary is this - you won't like it unless you're a schoolgirl or a fan of gel-ink, fluro-style blues. My best description of this ink would be "candy blue". I don't feel it's appropriate for work and will be flushing it tonight and replacing with the original blue-black. headsmack.gif

Does the ink dry quickly? (i.e. in 3 or 4 seconds if rubbed lightly with your finger)*

Yes.

Does it seem to flow particularly fast or slow? *

Slow compared to my Noodler inks.

Does it tend to dry up in pens quickly if the cap is off for awhile?

Not on the preppy.

How does it lubricate the nib? (sufficiently, or like "skating on the paper")

Not discernible.

Does it feather and/or bleed through the paper? *

Yes - there is a little feathering on non-FP friendly paper (the cheap 'executive' legal pads that I use at work).

No problem with my Moleskines (Large ruled notebook and diary - week + plain page version)

Does it shade? *

Not noticeable, perhaps with a wetter writer.

Is it archival? (pH neutral & lightfast)

Would assume no.
