One I finished off this am. The clip and the ring around the clip and section is from a kit but everything else is made up. The final is held on with a m8 bolt cut to 5/16. 1/4 threaded into cap, 1/4 threaded into top and a 1/6 for the clip and ring. I used what taps I had which were 1/2 but will be looking into the m12 .85 in the near future I think to do the body and cap. The section was the standard m10 1.0. Still not sure if I am going to make a matching section for this or not as it may be to much of the same color. Love the cooking oil tip guys as it made things a lot cleaner and nicer. The only problem is I am looking for the food. lol

Hope you all like

Very nice, and personally I don't think you could have too much of that color so maybe a new section? Tom

Looking good, Chris. I'm with the others in believing that the section would look better in the pen material. I would suggest that you polish the threads a bit, too, just to remove some of the cutting white that shows. Fine work.

Oooh! Now I've got to ask what the cooking oil trick is! do you put it on the piece while on the lathe to get a smoother finish?
