Anyone has an idea what model could have been sold in such box?

london
Sorry, no idea. But does conjur up images for me of the seventies / early eighties. I can imagine a gold pen sitting well in there. And it does look like quite a prestige box. So maybe a top end Parker 75 as a complete guess.

Looking at it again, the slots look quite large. What does an English 1988 Parker Duofold box look like anyone?
maxrhino
It's a box for a presidential set.
I know 51 presidentials came in those.

And here's a man who knows. Much earlier date wise than I envisaged.

You had one of these before didn't you Phil?

You use the word "had" like I might not have it any more.
Wild horsed could not drag it from my grubby mits.

It sold for considerably less than the last one that came up.
