I bought a M800 2 weeks ago. it was a F nib and I really thought I wanted a F nib. But after writing with it I want a M nib now.
Will Chartpak exchange the nib for free?
If not do you know where I can get an M nib without paying a large sum?

Yes, they will.
You could also trade with someone here. There might be someone looking for an F nib.

Wow, They gave me an address to send it to for a free nib exchange. This was a welcome change from the Montblanc service center, where everything costs as much as a new pen.

You're going to find that Chartpak is a wonderful company to deal with.

I second the recommendation on the B nib. You can always have it doctored up, plus they have a very nice line variation. All 800 M nibs I've tried are junk (compared to F's and B's from the same pens, that's M8XX)
