Taken from my new "Fountain Pen Ink Sample Booklet part VI":

Part VI finally is avaiable after picking up those inks at the Nürnberg pen show.

Some colors like Cardinal Red, Pinkly and Cobalt Blue look really nice, even some of the colors show some feathering.

Enjoy

Michael

Thanks! The six colors I've read of those look correct on my screen. How well do Skies of Blue and Pinkly behave?

I was able to get darker marks and writing with the Raven Black, sometimes. It depended on the paper and pen. The other five colors I've read (Cobalt Blue, Gemstone Green, Always Greener, Fireball, Cocoa) look correct on my screen.

Levenger has coupon code SPCHG1 for 20% off, which is still good as of June 25th (not sure when it expires). With the coupon, these inks are $9.60 as opposed to the standard $12. At $12 the value is kind of meh, but $9.60 is pretty good for these. Levenger's shipping costs are very reasonable as well...

...and, no, I don't work for them wink.gif

All of the Slightly Wild inks show some feathering... gorgeous colours though!

Smokey is a little bit waterproof, which is nice. Pinkly and Fireball are just plain pretty. smile.gif

Skies of Blue, at least my bottle of it, feathers significantly. I use it in pens with poor ink flow though because it flows very well. Not sure if all bottles of the stuff are quite so feathering-prone. Someone gave me a six pack of the Slightly Wild inks for a birthday present, so I have a second bottle of Skies of Blue, which I will try once the older bottle is empty.

Levenger inks are advertised as quick drying, so I would assume that because of this, they suffer some of the same shortcomings as the Swisher quick drying inks (ie: feathering).

Thanks, Michael, for posting these scans.
I, too, have found that the Skies of Blue ink feathers quite a bit.

Thanks Pengrump and Ed_K for the reports about the behavior of Skies of Blue.

Raven Black, back when I used it, wasn't too bad on cheap paper. It feathered a little bit, showed but didn't bleed through, and was water-resistant enough to save two months' worth of handwritten classroom attendance records onto which I had spilled a glass of water. The paper became uniformly gray-purple, but the original marks were just legible enough for me to rewrite over them after the paper dried. I couldn't have gotten a new blank form, so I was greatly relieved!

Cocoa is similarly water-resistant, leaving the original writing very easily legible with less stain on the rest of the wet paper (after an intentional test). This color aggressively spread and bled through cheap paper.

Gemstone Green was less water-resistant for me. Its behavior was between Raven Black's and Cocoa's.

Nah, their inks are as quick drying as their nibs are "flexible" rolleyes.gif

Seriously, I have Pinkly and I don't remember feathering (I don't have a pen filled with it right now). I have Glacier Blue that feathers on Rhodia, but Pinkly is nothing like that smile.gif
