I bought this 51 off ebay but the clip doesn't look like any 51 clip I have seen. Can anyone identify if this is a Genuine 51 cap or if not, what model pen it could be from?

Thanks,
Nick

Isn't this a VS cap?

Yup! bullseye...

It is a Parker VS (not sure of the full form), circa '46-47 cap.. Didn't know those fit P51s. Finding a 51 cap shouldn't be that difficult. You can also look for a VS without a cap. They are beautiful writers. Only if they were made of a tougher plastic... sigh.

The VS and 51 caps are identical, except for the clip. Same clutch, inner cap, clip screw and jewel.

You don't need a complete cap, just a clip... the caps are interchangeable.... as are the clips...

How would one go about removing the clip in order to replace it?

The same way you do a 51... remove the jewel and then unscrew the clip lock down blind screw in the cap...

Kullock will sell you just the body, blind cap, and the section. Just contact him.

If you don't want the extras....I like extras as does a large percentage of the board--try a for sale ad here.
