Hi, all, I am new to the FP collecting bug, I caught it just before Christmas when my wife found an old Sheaffer Snorkel that used to belong to her mother, the ink sack had long since dried up (pen not mother!) and after finding a cheap replacement on E-bay I could not bear to throw it out but instead found a Website that was willing to offer advice and supply Shellac, ink sacks and rubber seals after that I have not looked back and now have 8 Sheaffer's and 5 Parkers. It works really well, my wife likes to use them and I get a kick out of refurbishing them! and it’s incredibly cheap to start.
What a fantastic Hobby!

greetings, Spike.
Glad you found us and of course, glad you found Fountain pens! Restoring always feels good - a nice accomplishment for a couple of hours of effort.
FPN is full of helpful, friendly, and a little nutty people and I hope you'll enjoy the group.
Best, KCat

Hi Spike,
Sorry for the late welcome but.....
Welcome to FPN!

Nice to have you on board! I love vintage Sheaffers and I found it very gratifying to be able to resac them and some other older pens....not just for the economic benefits but for the enjoyment
(although when I come across a really stuck section, it can be
) ....
What other type of Sheaffers are in your burgeoning collection, and what Parkers do you have?
