Thank you for this picture. Very interesting. Where's the clover?

It looks like leprechauns have worked on this one.
An unusually deep and cristalline acrylic marble pattern for MB. Looks like they went through some Conway Stewart or Conklin rod stock and co-designed the pen with Taccia or Think. The white colored metal trim matches very well. The bulbous curves à la Fitzgerald are a nice and subtle added touch. Looks unwieldingly top heavy with the metal trim concentrated towards the clip.
I would love to see some FP pictures. I don't expect them to have reversed the the metal trim progression from FP to BP, although it could be a thought. I have a feeling the FP will eventually be part of my collection.
Thanks.

Holding my final judgment until I see the pen in person, but this pen really does not do it for me.

It dosent looks original... It just seems like it was thrown together, compared to a lot of the other WEs.
Also holding judgment, and also like a lot of pens I have seen... They sometimes grow on you...

For me it looks enthralling.

The picture might not show the real appearance of the pens and normally I don't fancy green - but this combination, the size and shape . . .
I like to see the nib!

I stopped by Atlanta's Montblanc Boutique at Lenox Square yesterday.
They did not yet have the Shaw in stock, and did not have a projected delivery date.
Does anyone know when these are expected in the Boutiques?
Does anyone have a picture of the Conference Folder? A decade or two ago, when Montblanc was first dabbling in leather goods, they released a Conference Folder that was a trifold with a unique sleeve for a Meisterstuk Fountain Pen on the outside center of the folder. It was handsome design that overcame the problem of storing a fat MB pen inside a closed conference folder. I'm hoping MB might resurrect that design.

the conference folder will be all black with some of shaw's writings laser engraved into the leather it looks nothing like the pic posted to be honest it's pretty disappointing and it does retail for $790 hopefully it looks better in person, as for the release date the writers will be released mid august to early September.

I don't know why, but this Writer's Edition doesn't really look like a MB product for some reason. Its still a pretty pen, but somethings about the design doesn't really say Montblanc when you look at it.
Anyone else feeling this way?

that's what good about the writers series they tend the design and colors they use tend to stray away from what a montblanc abnormally looks like just from the picture i can tell the shaw will be one of the most popular writers

Likewsie. Now that I can see the pen uncapped I am starting to like it more and more. From what I can make out from the photos posted so far, the resin reminds me a little of the Poe, only this time in green. I would like to see the nib in a close-up shot.

No, its not that. Their LE still look like a Montblanc creation. This doesn't, from the initial pictures anyway. The pictures on the second page make it look a little better. I guess the first one was a little too intensely green, and had no depth. Hmmmmm. Still want to see it person though (even if I can't buy it!).

Hmm . . . .
As far as I was told there is no price increase in Europe.
Maybe it's because of the weak US-Dollar?

(But with the realistic exchange rate the fountain pen should cost nearly 1,200.00 US$ - so you still are lucky and can be happy with 945.00 US$)

montblanc has had two price increases since the woolf has come out and probably will have another one around the fall and yes they tell us it's because of the weak US dollar
