Thanks for posting. That American Blue has some awesome shading for a saturated ink. In the same pen, does Visconti Blue look similar to it?
I would say Visconti Blue is slightly lighter than the lightest shading you will ever see with American Blue. They are both wonderful colors but I prefer the Visconti better because it has better techincal properties (flow, lube, dry time, feathering, etc.). You won't get very much to any shading with Visconti, though. It dries a pretty solid blue.
However, I also have a bottle of Ebony Blue that I haven't tried yet. If it shades anything like Ebony Green, it'll be a great looking ink.
Thank you. I have the Visconti Blue, and I find that it shades beautifully on copy paper, but on Clairfontaine and decent Mead paper it looks pretty solid.
That Ebony Green looks great! Too bad I just made an ink order half an hour ago.
