Don't know if anyone is interested, but I used these as stocking stuffer gifts this year. I find them really handy:

Nice bookmarks, and I thought I should share the ones I use. They are typical of this region of Brazil. This kind of work is called "filé", and it is very nice. It could also be a source of inspiration for our resident knitting artists!

I just use surveyors tapes, cut from the roll as I need them. Always a custom fit and nice, bright colors. They tend to stay put when the book is opened and if I lose one (or a few dozen), no big deal.

My favorite bookmark supply has been from a deck of playing cards I picked up at a Goodwill store. Pick a card, any card...

I have used paint chip cards from the hardware store. Thing is, I always start books without having my "good" bookmarks handy, so I'll just grab whatever I can find at the time. I really should be more organized, and I should probably try to just read one book at a time instead of 5.
I was thinking about creating some designs of my own since my husband has one of those laminating machines at work, and I do have tons of cardstock and rubber stamps.

At one time I was a Civil War re-enacter (union) any way, my favorite thing to do was living histories. Tjis is where you set up an area with all "period stuff" and do 1st person "acting" for educating the public, or schools etc.
Anyway I had a bunch of reproduction 1865 dollars"notes" in various configurations and had them laminated to use for bookmarks

Alejandro,
I love those cozy knitted bookmarks! Wrinkle proof too.
I've inadvertently collected many bookmarks I've found in used books I've bought.
Some are very interesting and rare, including handmade ones and vintage ones.

I do that too! They're the perfect size and shape
and they're free. I pick up a whole pile of them in colours that I like and then I'm stocked up for ages.
