I've had my Churchill for a bit over a year and I'm having some leaking issues, I was hoping someone could help me pinpoint what is wrong.

It's a lever-fill Churchill. The pen will accumulate ink near the threads. It's not gushing, but if I use the pen it will leave stains on my fingers. Now this leads me to issue number two, if I flush the pen with water, the pen will leak from the level and quite a bit of ink/water will come out. I fill it according to the instructions, never been dropped or treated badly. Typically use Noodler's or Private Reserve ink.

Is this a bad sac? Am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings Brandon,

You may be very well served following Mary's suggestion.

I have two Churchill lever fillers that experienced similar problems. It turned out that the ink sac that CS used for my period manufacture Churchill was "short lived" to be nice. From your description, it sounds as if your ink sac has sprung a leak and you're not only filling your ink sac with ink and ink and water, but you're filling the body of the pen with ink and ink and water. You really want to get that taken care of fast. It's not good for the pen.

Oh, Dick Egolf is a very nice person who will make certain your pen is well cared for.

Peace,

Phroneo
