Hi,

how many special edition based on Pro-Gear ?

Thanks for every reply! thumbup.gif

There is now a 'King of Pen' based on the Pro Gear. It's just a larger Pro Gear with the oversized 21k nib.

I'm aware of a Morita ProGear (blue), the mosaics and a red one (I've forgot it's name, it's for the 60 years of something if I remember well).

Check ujuku website, you'll find there some smile.gif

Pro Gear SE's... the Ivory, Orange and Yellow. Also the Dark Metallic Red, Blue and Green...

The "Dandelion" Demonstrator and the "KAN" (60 Years) are Limited Editions. These are all the full-size model.

Numerous others exist in the Pro Gear Slim size... maybe Taki and I should try to make a list... I have a partial one somewhere I should type out.

In addition to those mentioned, IIRC, for the full-sized PG there's also a Suzuki Limited Edition - Black cap red body with gold trim. Also a couple of years ago there was a navy PG by the Japanese magazine "趣味の文具箱" in collaboration with Sailor; but this may be the slim or mini version I've to pull the mag to double-check. Last year there was a limited "Contemporary Master Craftman" PG honoring Mr. Nobuyoshi Nagahara; it came with a Nagahara Togi. There's also a red and black with silver trim PG sold by Tate. Not as pretty as the Kanreki tho- the red Kan is gorgeous it's simply red red red! bunny01.gif What about the Saibi Togi does it count?

Btw I'm curious why the mosaics are not available in Japan? Are they exclusive US editions?

Taki
Syumi no Bungubako one was PG Mini in dark blue with Naginata MF. I've seen clear (no color) demo and yellow body with black cap, too. I have to do a search later.

Who said the Mosaics are not available in Japan...? Nagasawa has them.

PS: My KAN should arrive next week... yay! biggrin.gif

Why you have to tell me that ? I'm not at all interested. How are you getting on with your cool dandelion? wink.gif

Woohoo, the KAN should look wonderful with the dandelion bunny01.gif

I just remembered Matsuya Fountain Pen Hospital in Nagasaki, Japan has or had tortoise-shell PG. Will find the page later.

Edit: Nah, it was 1911 SE. Sorry!

An "Egg plant" color limited edition made for a fountain pen user club in Okayama.

EDIT: This was Sapporo, too headsmack.gif but they used a "larger-than-normal" cap ring, which kind of threw me off. The jewel is supposed to be raden finish, though I can't see it very well in the photo. Only 20 pens were made. Price was about $260. The web site says there is only one pen left.
