I just picked up a really nice (though the imprint is nearly gone) blue w/ black veins 15 from EBay, but the seller didn't mention that the nib had a small crack in it near the breather hole.

It's really a shame too, the nib had beautiful flex (not full flex, but that nice softness and give) to it - I had barely touched the tines to my finger to feel if they were aligned when I took the pen out of the packaging and I noticed the softness. Needless to say that was a pleasant surprise, then after I cleaned a bit of the dried ink off I got the nice nasty surprise of a crack. My wife got to hear me start ranting about how I had hit the jackpot - until that one little blotch wouldn't move and I got out the magnifying glass.

Anyway, I don't have a whole lot tied up in it (more than I should have bid, but I wanted the color - $50, but it was advertised as having been off to FPH for some TLC) so if it's a loss and I live with a little minor damage to the nib I'm not in too bad of shape. The body is really good, the gold filled band is in really good shape, but the clip is silver, and as I mentioned the imprint is almost gone.

So, return it to the seller, send it off to repair, or try to track down a new nib for it?

I'll take a picture or two tonight and put up here. I'm kind of leaning towards sending it back because I'm not sure I'm comfortable putting too much more into this pen - unless the 15 suddenly because more desirable, I think I'm approaching the upper limit on it.

My advice Dreg, snd it back. I've sold lots of Conway Stewarts on ebay inc many 15's that i've restored. If there are any flaws whatsoever then they are listed.

Yep, that's what I've decided to do. I'm just waiting on the seller to reply to me - this one is starting to concern me. Hopefully I won't have to find out how the conflict resolution system works, but we'll see. I'll give him another day or two then I'm filing a complaint.
