I RECENTLY BOUGHT A PARKER 16 RED HARD RUBER, BUT THE CAP IS CRACKED AND IT MISSED A PIECE OF ABOUT 0,7 X 0,9 CMS. PEN MISSED PART OF THE SECTION TOO. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO YOU THINK IS THE BEST TO REPAIR THIS EXPENSIVE PEN.
REGARDS, AND THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP.

Here's a resized image (slightly cropped) for ease in viewing.

Ernesto, to avoid scrolling, the width of the pictures must be set to 700 pixels or less. Sorry, I can't fix the focus.

With this blurriness, sometimes a smaller image appears a little better. I've adjusted the contrast and brightness a little.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON!

Cosmetic restoration is possible, and it can look really great. If you intend your pen to be a museum piece, it may be worthwhile.

But it is not currently possible to repair hard rubber in such a way that it will be mechanically strong enough to hold up under the kind of normal handling a pen normally receives. Expert chemists in the rubber industry have tried for years, without success. Anyone who claims to be able to perform such a repair is fooling himself or herself -- or trying to fool you.
