how much is the price in Japan for THIS pen - I mean in the shop - not net sale.

I will travel to Osaka in avgust, and I (of course) intend to buy some pens.

Second question: how much costs VP - not limited editions in Japan?

Third question: what pen do you recommend to buy in Japan (budget up to 100 EUR / 150 USD)
maybe one pen or (better) some pens for the same amount.

thanks

(I already use one VP carbonesque with B nib (marvellous) and two preras (cute); amoung other pens in collection I prefer my pel 1000, L2K, MB149, parker 100...)

There is a candy-shop array of pens Japanese makers sell only on their own domestic market and do not export. Here is a babelfish translation of the Pilot fountain pen page.

Yes. Go to one of the big department stores and go wild! They will have more locally made pens than you can possibly imagine. Isetan in Tokyo is one of the great stores; I don't know about Osaka, but I'm sure they have a wide variety there as well. You will encounter more interesting pens than we can possibly name here. Be sure to check out the custom celluloid pens that are made by small shops in Japan for the Japanese market only.

It might be difficult to find the Orange VP, it was a limited edition for the year 2007, and was only made in 2007 pieces. Not sure if they still have stock in Japan.

Fascinating--I didn't know this. Have you obtained any of these celluloid pens or have some photos you can post? I wonder if these makers are like smaller versions of Nakaya's operation.

There were a couple of threads about pen shops in Kansai area.

One of the small companies that make celluloid pens is Kato Seisakusho Co. I've read they used to supply celluloid rods to Visconti and other foreign companies, too. This is a link to an online seller that sells Kato Seisakusho's pens.
