The Platon pen company folded in 1953 and left a legacy of great BCHR pens in the 1920s and 1930s and brilliant celluloids in the early 1950s. In my humble opinion their celluloid pens from this period were some of the best. Prior to their demise they also made pens with makie designs. Collector friends in Japan have shared rumours that some of the pens may have been done by artists employed by Pilot who were moonlighting to make ends meet. This deserves better study. I've been fortunate to find a few and here is one of my feeble snapshot of one. I should post more pictures in the next few days.
