Only weren't it for the IPG nib...

I've got an IPG nib here that it totally amazing. I'm serious - I've also got a Mottishawed 14K Bock here - the IPG is better. Smoother, better flow, it's just great.

At the end of the day, it's the iridium that hits the paper and the IPGs do an excellent job.

The pen looks great.

I have a Brock that follows me around a fair bit from pen to pen. I ahve also had a lot of good luck with the other nibs as well. Glad you liked the pen.

You're very welcome, Chris. It wasn't my original thought. Like you, I just followed someone else. You did a very fine job of this one.

Thank's I am working at turning a bunch of La Swiss roller balls I got at Christmas on sale for $25 each into fountain pens using the same idea. Have you had any luck turning your own threads on the cap as well as the body yet. I am looking into this bus so far rather confusing about what sizes I need to order.

Cheers

Nice work! I like the look of that material, is it a commonly available acrylic blank?

Also, my main question - How did you do the section like that? My attempts didn't work out so well, I am afraid to thin the section too much, and putting on a thin layer of the plastic is difficult.

I turned the section to 3/8 and then took the blank and glued the section into the 3/8 hole and finished it off. Very very slow though. I use an old pen kit piece to screw the section onto and hold it with a 3 jaw chuck for the final turning. Oh yes take nib out first before turning. Hope this helps
