My wife is going to crack up at me. I love this pen. Rose gold trim, cranberry color body, it is just elegant. If I were a dog, I'd be a rottweiller/coondog mix. Big and kind of home;y, but I love this pen. Writes beautifully, but wet with Blue Quink, but it has just become my favorite. Posted fits my oversized hand well and is so well balanced for me. Ah well, even an ugly guy can have a pretty pen!

Congratulations! I've enjoyed the one ATX I have as well. It's a great everyday pen.

On the wetness with Quink - I've had good luck with the Private Reserve inks. American Blue is my personal favorite. It's a 'saturated' ink and so somewhat thicker than the Parker and Sheaffer (not to mention Cross) inks. Using the PR inks seems to cut down on the flow in all my Cross pens, which tend to be wet writers overall (as I've mentioned in this forum in the past).

I LOVE the ATX. The balance and style just make the pen extraordinary. And the screw-in converter is interesting as well.

VERY pretty pen (maybe The Wife will want one? ). Cross makes great pens (I have Townsend, and have had couple others), with smooth and dependable nibs.

They are very pretty.

Unfortunately, SWMBO doesn't like FPs.........but as long as she put up with me, I'm not gonna complain. 24 years together this Monday.

yup, that's a looker right there. i bought the same pen mostly for its looks, but i've been using it surprisingly often.

funny thing, though - the box's outer sleeve describes the pen as 'bordeaux' while the box itself says 'claret red.' what does yours say?

The box lists it as Claret Red.
