The other day I saw an offert at ebay. You can see it at this link:

I thought it was a good offert and i did decide to buy it.

After that, i did realized there is a difference between the main photo of the announce and the photos describing the article. In the main photo, the cap of the fountain pen has not a gold ring at the cap but the rest of the photos has that gold ring in the cap.

In the Danitrio site, in the 'screen temaki' section you can see the pen without the gold ring.

I looked for some references of the buyer (triojoe) at this site and all the references i found, were positive.

Does anybody think it can be a replica?

Does anybody know if this fountain pen should have the gold ring or not?

I've visited Kevin's (winedoc) site at www.internetpens.net and you can see the same fountain pen also with the gold ring in the cap.

So I think probably it is a new version, different from that one at the danitrio site.

I believe the seller is Joe Camosy (sp?), an authorized Danitrio dealer.

Hi Andy, this is different Joe, but I have checked with Danitrio and this Joe is an authorized dealer. Joe Camosy post as "zen pen" here I think, but not a current Danitrio Dealer.

As for the pen in question, it is authentic Danitrio screened maki-e "Temaki" series. Picture on Danitrio webiste is old. All Temaki series now comes with clips and trim ring. hope this helps.

Well, for me, this is all i need to hear from the experts at this forum. Many thanks for your comments.

When the pen arrives to me, i'll take some photos and i'll post my comments. I am very expected with it. It's my first maki-e. I know there are better maki-e works but this is the best i found with the budget i can afford.

I would like to say one last thing: There is no reason at this time to put a doubt on triojoe seller. I know he has started the process to ship the article almost instantly. I can track it.
