So I finally received my Lamy Blue Studio I've been waiting for on pins and needles. Why you ask...well this isn't just any Lamy Blue Studio. A while back I had posted what my ideal Lamy Studio would be. A week or two ago I got a PM from a certain unnamed superhero that disclosed that they just might be able to help me out with that.
Well it finally arrived.
Pictures are below.
A big huge public thanks as well to the person who helped me out with this.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first Safaris on Friday (its killing me that the seller does not use Priority to ship!!!)
Anyhoo, I have a feeling I might be rapidly moving on to the Studio version if they live up to the hype. The Blue Studio is BEAUTIFUL! Is there no chance of others getting the same pen since you mentioned it was a custom pen? Is so, how much would it be?? WOW!

I just purchased a St. Steel Studio, largely becuase I can't afford two pens to use in making a Franken pen -- including the rubber grip -- or three to make a pen with a gold nib, such as you appear to show in that picture. I can say, though, that my first choice would be a "franken" pen just as you illustrate -- including the blue color, rubber grip, and gold nib. Really -- that is the ideal I've pictured as well. So -- Wow!! Nice going!! I celebrate your good fortune!
If you are free to discuss cost, ordering process, etc., I would be happy to read it all. If you'd rather not, I understand -- no problem.
Thank you for your post -- and Congratulations once again!!

Now see, there's a Lamy I'd buy.
1) Gold nib. (I don't care for their steel nibs)
2) Not black, brown, grey, or metal. (Lamy seems to specialize in colors I can't stand)
3) Nib isn't hooded. (I don't know why hooded nibs bug me, but they do)
4) Blue++!

Administrators take note! Could this be the prototype for the FPN 2008 Pen?!?!?!?!?!
What a great complement to Starry Night Blue!

Wah...congratulations on a beautiful pen! When a pen that gorgeous writes like a charm, you know you've got a keeper.
I'm waiting for my Lamy Studio White to arrive but now I'm tempted to get the chrome grip changed to a rubber grip. I'm hoping I'll be in luck and my local store will be willing to exchange the grip section for me *fingers crossed*

Thanks for all the compliments on the pen guys. I was pretty shocked when I opened it myself. I'm extremely happy with it. I've had the palladium one before but always wanted the black rubber grip, and then I saw the blue and knew exactly what I wanted. Cost wise I'll say it was a bit more than a Lamy Studio White. Totally worth it to me though. I'll leave it up to the person that got it for me to chime in if they feel they want too. I will say they informed me that they blue studio is now discontinued though, so I'm happy to have one before they got scarce.
Once again thanks for the compliments!

Wonderful pen. But I have to say my comment is more about your use of the word 'wicked' xD We lived in Rhode Island for a year, where that adjective was popular. Never heard it before 'down south'.

That's nice and looks super comfortable =)
I just bought a white studio but I haven't gotten it yet. I'm hoping the slick grip dosen't dissapoint me, I'm thinking of sanding it like mentioned on other threads to give it more gripability (is that a word? haha). I almost wish now I could have found someone willing to sell me one like yours.
