The Fountain Pen Network > Creative Expressions > The Write Stuff

The group list for this third journal is now full, and will likely launch by this weekend! This group will include the Phillipines, Hong Kong, Germany and the States.

We'll be starting out using CD10's. I have a few left. Just a note, though, the Apica notebooks are prone to bleed through if one attempts to use highly saturated inks and wet pens. Fair warning, as feedback pours in from the other journals. smile.gif

I think this will be the last I start for now, as I want to keep a handle on my organization (meaning I'm not usually very organized, heh). If others are out there, please feel free to start a traveling journal. They are fun.

Update: Haven't heard that it has even reached destination #1, yet.

Destination #1 was the Phillippines. The Phillippines were hit by a typhoon. I'm awaiting anxiously for an "I'm ok" from our friend.

edit: just received word that our Phillippine correspondent is ok! This makes me very happy. Many /hugs, all.

Mother Nature has a way of reminding us that time and life are precious. Whether flooding, tornados, wild fires, earthquakes, we're all sharing it together here on this blue marble in some way. Journals and post cards and snail letters and message boards don't matter except that they've brought people together from all over to share fragments of our lives. They create friendships and trust and a faith in each other to get through some challenging times. For that, I'm thankful for FPN and the graciousness its members all have as a quality.

Oh man, I wish I had signed up for this.

I'm glad the first correspondent is well!

Best,
Summer

We Asia are having a really "shakey" time (pun intended). After May 12, we have had more shakes from the ground, more typhoons and more rain.

No hurries and I'll still be here when the book arrives (I'm just so grateful that Mother Nature has been rather kind to Hong Kong, the place i'm residing right now).

Many sincere good-wishes to our pal in Phillippines!
