Just a few preliminary snaps that I took immediately when the package arrived this morning. Sorry about the dust and the inconsistent lighting. I'll take more pics carefully in a few days. And write up the story behind the design and the name.

Beautiful one there, zip... er, fsb. What an intricate custom urushi design you had Nakaya make for you. Must've been quite an investment! But it looks spectacular--you must be thrilled. So, wild strawberry eh?... yep, do tell the story.

yes. think in terms of roman mythology. it' part of the story.

about a month to-and-fro with email to figure out the design. then 3 month and 10 days between cc charge and delivery.

the folk at nakaya are the best. let any scoundrel who opines otherwise meet the mighty wrath of my sword.

thefsb, that's one very nice pen! What kind of nib you got for it? I'm thinking of getting one of Nakaya's elastic nib but still can't decide on the body.

I know you've heard your fair share of compliments; but to my eye, this is one of the most gorgeous pens I've ever seen. Please take some close up pic's if you're able.
