Any news or rumors on this year's color? Somewhere here about 3 months ago I read purple and then nothing since.

Can anyone confirm? Purple would be a very interesting color.

I just spoke with Pilot USA in CT.
The planned release will be on September 1st, 2008.
It will be purple with rhodium trim/nib in a "medium" point only.
There will be 900 units for the US market and it will retail for $215 USD.

For the record, it will be available only through stores that had the Orange -- and so far as I know, this does not include Web-only dealers. (We've been told that we will not be allowed to order it.)

Anyone know of any plans for the Decimo model? Any chance Pilot will do it in purple? IMHO, it's MUCH better than the VP in terms of weight and feel in the hand.
