Beautifully done! May I ask what the section is from? Is the clip your own design?

Excellent! clap1.gif
What's the filling system? Do you intend to produce and sell pens in such material?

Thanks for all the comments -

Grant - Clip is my design, but inspired by some of the Shaeffer clips. I am also using a double pin attachment method which I am trying out on several designs. So far so good.

Alexandro - This one is a cartridge/converter but possibly could be an eye dropper if I made sure there were no leaks. Eye dropper is definitely in the future as I'm told this material will not stain. As of now my sales (and production) are limited. I really want to make sure I have the best design, dimensions and materials that will define my style before I sell too many but this material could very easily be on the list. It polishes like glass and has a very nice feel.

That's a very handsome looking pen. I love the translucency - and I think that would make it a great eyedropper pen.

Beautiful! Have you given any consideration to making some available for sale? I would be tempted, if the price isn't too high for my meager budget.

LOve the clip design though I would like to see the accent in yellow or black.
For some reason I would have thought bakelight was more opaque.
Does it post?
Congratulations on the threading, NPGJ! thumbup.gif

Bakelite, even the modern stuff which this is, comes both filled and unfilled. The dyed material is translucent at pen wall thicknesses and the filled material is opaque, so there are both kinds.

If you look at the old Shaeffer clips like this, most have the white dot. I did try one with the amber bakelite to match the pen, but it was too transparent. An easy change though for what ever best matches the pen.

This one does not post, nor do any of my custom pens. I may lose some sales, but in this case the penmaker is always in charge and I do not like posting pens. For me the posting feature detracts from the design.

Very Nice!! Love the color and material! You better get a patent on that before you show it around too much! Best of luck with this product, looks like a winner.

Newbie here -- what does "post" mean in this context?
bgray
If the cap posts, then it will fit onto the end of pen when writing.

Some caps post, and some do not.
