Here is what is happening... it appears that it is leaking from where the nib screws into the barrel. Leak my be too strong of a word. I can fill it, use and then cap the pen. The next day I will notice ink at the bottom of the barrel. It is not a lot, but enough to get on my fingers and inside the cap. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. rolleyes.gif

Some Estie advice: Unscrew the nib, clean threads out well under in cold or lukewarm water, reseat making sure it's threaded in nice and tight (but don't force too far - finger tight should do it). See if the problem persists.

Most Esties leech just a bit down in the section but it should not be enough to cause any significant amount of ink to get into the cap.

If it continues, check the threads in the section and the nib to see if there are any cracks or gaps. If there are - buy a different or replacement nib - or have an Estie tech replace the section for you. You can do this yourself too, of course; I just choose not to, because the way Estie barrels and sections connect are tricky, require heat to loosen, etc.

Hope this helps.

Oh, also, it is possible to help seal the threads of the nib a bit with pure silicone grease. I tried this once at the advice of a fellow FPNer and it did seem to help a bit and did not damage the plastics. You can still remove the nib but it seemed to take a little more coaxing to get loose once the grease was in there. That's why I didn't continue to use long-term.
