Sorry for my first post being such an ignorant one. I am trying to communicate
with an ebay sellor on a Targa FP. He doesn't know the nib size. I thought it
might be under the bottom of it but it says he doesn't see it.
Where on the pen can he find the indicator for what size the nib is?
Thank you for your patience.

Huh? Sheaffer doesn't put "F,M or B" anywhere on the nib or barrell?

I have one that is still unused and it has an "F" for fine directly in line with the feed on bottom side of section almost all the way at the end where the section screws into the barrel. But as indicated above it will wear off with minimal handling since it appears to be gold colored stamp on the plastic. Good luck.

When I bought a Targa New old stock recently the nib size showed up on the pen section close to where the section screws into the body and on the opposite side from the nib. However it is put on in a light white chalkmark style marking that rubs off very quickly. Mine is gone after about three ink fillings and uses of this pen.

Afraid you're out of luck. Sheaffer stopped using width markings on their nibs when they began making inlaid nibs. They started again in the mid '90's - just after the Targa ceased production! Your best bet is to try and get the guy to post a writing sample.
Best,
Summer
