Hi all. I've been lurking around the forums without registering for a while now, but I wanted to say thank you to all of the people who post reviews here. I have to buy fountain pens and ink online, and having such detailed, knowledgeable reviews has been a godsend.


About me: I got my first fountain pen as a gift for my thirteenth birthday. My mother used to write a dozen handwritten letters every week, and I always tried to imitate her gorgeous penmanship. These days, Mom emails everyone instead, and so do I, but lately I've been trying to return to handwritten letters. Sad to say, my penmanship has gone downhill after years of typing and cheap ballpoints, but I'm slowly getting it back, and having a lot of fun doing so.

I am tired of cheap biros too so back to the elegance of real pens for me.......I have discovered on my recent journies around the pen shops that I have very expensive taste! (on dear)....... for now though until I can be trusted not to lose anything I think I'll be capping my spending
