I just took a few momments to read all of the posts. I am looking forward to meeting a lot of new pen friends. If you have never been to the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel area you are in for a big surprise. I don't know how they have been able to keep it a secret. That $4.00 per gallon gas is not easy to overcome but it looks like a lot of folks are coming anyway.
Now some food for thought!
I got a phone call earlier today from a gentleman who has attended the Triangle Pen Show for the past several years. He wanted to know about coming to the show on Thursday, June 5, because his wife had some pens that needed "parting up". I explained the weekend registrant cost and that it entitled both he and his wife to have "run of the show", just as if they were exhibitors. He was concerned that it might be too late to register for the weekend. I let him know that he could pay at the door on Thursday but that we would go ahead and have name badges ready for him since he called ahead. (Lisa, welcome aboard, your W/E registration arrived in today's mail)
So the point is that it's never too late to attend as a weekender or for that matter to attend any day on the spur of the moment(even Sunday at 11 am and hang around for that $850 doorprize courtesy of Scott Franklin, Franklin-Christoph, based in Raleigh)
If you are attending and you are looking for some specific parts, go ahead and email me with your needs and we will act as a clearing house to get the word out to the dealers coming for the show. Do not forget to bring your pens needing parts to the show. If you can't find what you need, maybe you can trade them off.
I also want to remind you that we will have pen repair and nib work gurus on site throughout the weekend. Those repairing pens include: Roger Cromwell; Martin Ferguson; Aaron Svabik; Ron Zorn; Those adjusting and or providing custom nib work include Richard Binder; Deb Kinney; Mike Masuyama. I invite you to go to the show website www.raleighpenshow.com where you can email these individuals about any specific work prior to the show.
See you all soon! Terry 614-619-5025
