Finally got a few pictures that I'm happy with...

Hi Rroossinck, The picture is so clear... I can even see the lettering on the gold band of the pen cap. What kind of camera and lens did you use?

Believe it or not, those came from a Panasonic FX01 point and shoot. I love that little camera. Seems to work best with natural light, but regardless, a great camera.

Here's a few pics of the original nib. Suffice it to say...it was horrible.

Rockin' pen there Ryan! Wow...what do you think happened to that (original) nib? If it was steel, I would have thought iron gall ink but it's kt. gold. The way the tines are spread, I almost wonder if a previous owner tried performing a little pen surgery to get a bit (ahem) more generous ink flow.

As for the corrosion...I was thinking something more along the lines of battery acid, not iron gall.smile.gif
