Full Version: Experiences with El Lawrence and a Pelikan M200 EF nib?

Hi all,

As picky as El Lawrence seems to be in FPs as to flow, has anyone had any experience with a M 200 and this ink? I have an EF nib, which I tend to prefer, but the line it lays down seems totally dependent on the ink.

I'm a bit concerned with clogging, but I really like the ink color. Seems "old fashioned" looking and classic.

Also concerned with nib creep as well, although I know this ink seems to be a slow mover in many pens. (slow flow, that is..)

Thanks

I can't comment on El Lawrence and your Pelikan. However, I use it in a Lamy Studio and the nib creep is horrible. I can fill the pen, clean the nib and can sit and watch the creep come out. By the time it's done, it will cover approx. 50% of the nib.

That said, I really like the ink and I don't have any trouble with it. It dries on the nib relatively quickly if the pen is left uncapped but one short stroke will get it flowing again. The Studio does have a broad nib so perhaps the larger amount of exposed ink plays a part in the drying.
