Dear All,

We have been made aware that the PCA Bylaws as currently written and adopted in November 2006 contain no specific language to direct the Nominations and Elections process. We plan to address this in the near future, and as Chair of the committee, I guarantee this will happen. In the meantime, we are committed to a fair and open election process. In that spirit, we offer the following timetable and procedures for this year's election. As more details become available, we will keep members apprised through general postings such as this as well as on our website.

June 1, 2008. Call for nominations. Any member in good standing of the PCA may offer a candidate for the elections slate. This can be either themselves or another person. Upon receipt of this name, the Nominations Committee (probably me) will send an email as confirmation and as a request for a short biography and/or personal statement from the interested party.

July 1, 2008. Nominations are closed.

July 11-13, Portland Pen Show. (OOPS...wrong posting! The jury will disregard that last remark.)

September 1, 2008. Ballots will be sent out with provision for both electronic and paper balloting.

October 1, 2008. Results posted on the PCA website.

November, 2008. New (or returning) members welcomed to the Board of Directors at the Ohio show.
