Hi ! I'm new to fountain pens and haven't used one since 19?? when my high school teacher required them. I remembered how smoothly they wrote and bought a Lamy Safari Fine point and followed with a Cross Century II Fine point. I'm looking forward to absorbing some of the knowledge here and perhaps begin collecting. See you around.

Welcome to the forum, and back into the use of fountain pens. Where in Indiana is home? Are you a native Hoosier or a transplant? I moved south in 1981, but I was born and raised in Randolph County.

Welcome to FPN!!

Born and raised in Indy. I'm looking to graduate from college as a radiation therapist and move to the southwest...you know; no more snow, no shoveling white stuff. I will miss the changing of the seasons. Thank you all for making me feel welcome. I've been reading the forums for some time and I enjoy the feeling of helpfulness ( is that a word?) from all the members made me want to join.

My youngest sister and her family moved from Fishers to a northern Houston suburb for my brother-in-law's job. They have since returned to Noblesville. They miss the mild winters they had for a few years, I miss the great food we ate while visiting them in Texas!

I have lived all but two of the 27 years since I left Indiana in the Carolinas. I do not miss Indiana winters one bit! My wife is from Charlotte, North Carolina and my son was born in Columbia, South Carolina so they always want big snows in the winter. I tell them I had enough in 19 years to last me a lifetime.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, and good luck with the job search!
