I will spare name as there is no intent to embarrass an individual.

Still, you guys think you have challenges dealing with problem dealers...

Sometimes attempt at nice chat with customers poses its own problems. And, i'm still trying to find where (if anywhere) the misprint is. Meanwhile, i guess i'm not selling the 114th pen in 6 weeks, as i'd hoped wink.gif

Try this sequence that hit the Vacumania site this week.

Sorry David but your site clearly stated the price, in red, as
$120.00 - I am not prepared to pay $185.00

Please send link as there might be a misprint. On the Parker 51 page
the pen set is listed at $185 as follows.

The Doodler
Was there a price even close to that nearby?
Looks like he was looking to kick someone around.

Idunno. Some pens appear in other areas on website, and as most of you know, when an update goes up there usually are couple typos. It's not that there might be an error that causes wry bemusement here. Rather, it's the assumption from a first time emailer that malice is in play.

definately, eh?
Heh.

Sorry to hear of your experience, David. I worked in retail for 15 years and dealing with customers was alternately the most and least satisfying part of the job sad.gif

I think the guy's just bad at haggling. Sorry to hear about your experience. I would think your customers are more polite pen folk since your pens are really nice and collectable. Not like the regular joe pens that I have to wrestle away from a one-armed old woman down at the 'bay.

You see that's why I bought my mint, i.e. still chalked, in box with instructions, "51" from a local charity shop for £2.50. No need to worry about haggling at that price.

Oh and for those who don't know what a charity shop is, it's like a thrift/2nd hand store where the stock is donated and the money goes to charity.
