My Pilot Birdie was clipped to my shirt when it went through the wash today. Fortunately caught it before it went into the dryer, but by all rights I should have ended up with all my whites covered in ink. Noodler's Polar Black, specifically. I'm pretty sure that would never have come out.

The cap was full of ink of course. The pen was knocked around a bit in there. I hate to think what the spin cycle would have done to it. So I got some all over my hands when I removed the cap. I was expecting that and did it over the washroom basin.

The Birdie seems none the worse for the wear, and alls well that ends well, but this was a closer call than I'd like to think about.

At least it was polar black. What if it was some other bulletproof colour, like errr..... red.
