Does anyone know where to find a Nomadic PE-10 pen/pencil case? JetPens.com has one color listed, but it has been sold out for so long that I want to find some other place that might have it. The best I can do is a Japanese site, but that doesn't help me (unless someone is willing to order it in yellow or blue and sell it to me for a reasonable mark-up).

I don't know if this would get more answers in the "Rising Sun" forum, but the topic seems most appropriate here.

Have you asked about it at Ujuku?

I haven't. I hadn't even thought of that. Now that you mention it, though, have you (or has anyone else here) asked them for something they don't normally carry? I understand that communication may be a little difficult, but would that route likely pan out?
Songwind
The only thing I asked about was replacement nibs for the Custom 74, which is apparently just not available.

Have you asked Jetpens if they are getting more in, or can get in different colors? As the case cost only $10 or so shipping will be more than the case itself from Japan.

It's the Kokuyo Nomadic, they have it at Jet Pens:

Out of stock, I emailed them about it a while back (2 months?) and they didn't know when they were getting more in. I keep checking because I really want one too. It's to the point that I may just have my business partner over there track one down for me.

If it's Kokuyo Kinokuniya might have it, or may be able to get it.

Looks like many other similar pencil cases - why is it so good?
David R Munson
Much better/more useful design than most pencil cases I've seen.

If you go to altavista.com, and select babelfish translation, you can cut and paste the Japanese text and have it translated to English. The earlier posts have good suggestions for alternate sources of supply also.

Babel Fish doesn't help me (I still can't actually order from there, even with the Babel Fish translation). I'll try Kinokuniya, and if that doesn't work I'll try Ujuku. If neither work, maybe I can find a friend of a friend who is there.

Apparently the case comes in the colors: red, black, navy blue, kaki and yellow. I'm also planning to buy one but I'm not sure which color to pick. Does anyone have any recommendations?

my vote would be for yellow (everything shows well against yellow), but i never found a source for this. Kinokuniya never responded to my emails, and Jetpens.com still doesn't have it in stock. in fact, i don't even see it listed on their web page any more (though the links still work).

I will be by a Kinokuniya store and will check to see if they carry this item and let you know. While I was at OfficeMax a couple weekends ago, I noticed the school supply brand FiveStar (?) also had a soft pencil case with a flap in the similar manner to this one. Of course the material looked much much more busy than this one and probably does not have as many pockets inside...

Okay, I went to the Kinokuniya around Bryant Park in NYC and did not see any Nomadic products. The only other place I've seen Nomadic products are at the Container Store. I've purchased a messenger bag there before and I know they still carry some bags. The last time I looked they did not have have this pen case but stock in my city turns over so fast, I am not sure its a good indicator of what they do and do not carry.

Oh well, it's too late. I already picked a color; someone told me the red version would look more professional since the case is made from soft material.
Check it out:

where did you find it?
