I've got an Aurora Fuoco in a broad nib, but I'm thinking about getting it stubbed since I mostly enjoy stubs. Its a small nib though and with it being an LE, I'm wondering if I'm doing this pen a disservice by stubbing the factory nib.
Opinions?
Thanks!

I plan to stub or needlepoint both my Sole Mini LE and the Fuoco Mini LE. I've already had the Optima Mini ground to an XF Stub.
Aurora nib units are interchangeable (threaded) - you could buy a second nib unit and have that reground.

I own a fuoco with the original stub nib, so I don't have to work on it. But some years ago a "stubbed" a big "B" nib and this was no problem.

Hi Jeff,
I have the Fuoco LE as well, but mine has an F nib and off for repair at the moment. I also have the Mini Sole LE and it has an M nib. I understand the concern of regrinding the nibs because the nibs are relatively small (compared to the regular size Optimas). However, I have the Burgundy Mini and had it reground to a stub italic by Richard Binder. I can use that nib on the Fuoco with no problems. The only difference is the Fuoco has an 18K nib; the Burgundy Mini has a 14K nib. As Phthalo already indicated, the nibs are interchangeable on the Mini Optimas.
Regrinding the small nibs in no way does it a disservice. If you're concerned about resale of the LE in original condition, you may want to look into getting an additional nib and have that reground. They're rather pricey though, so you may want to look into getting the 14K Mini Optima nib instead of the 18K in that case. Happily, the 14K nib for the Mini is silver trim and it'll match the Fuoco. Hope that helps.
