Is Pelikan B-B an Iron Gall ink?
cellulophile
Nope, though it vaguely looks and behaves like one.

The color is why I ask- in a rich flowing pen it really looks the deep blue-black color. What do you mean by behaves like one- you mean in terms of flow? Or drying?

In terms of behavior, I was referring to the fact that like iron-gall blue-blacks, it is a deep dark blue when wet, and then dries to a grayer color. I remember reading, though I couldn't tell you where, that this was intentional on Pelikan's part.

Definately not waterproof, but it can stand a spill.
