I would appreciate anyone with information about the Chicago firm Wallace Pens sharing what they know.

From the Secretary of State Certified List of Illinois Corporations, 1912 edition, I have learned that Wallace Pens had capital stock of 3,000 shares; was located at 2714 LaSalle St. Chicago, IL. Its President & Manager was
F. D. Wallace and its Secretary was W.F. Wallace.

The W.F. Wallace name (probably the same person) turns up later in New York City as one of the officers of Inkograph, whose President was Joseph Wallace, an inventor whose patents are associated with Inkograph pens.

Hi,

I dont have much to offer other than the fact that Joseph Wallace's first patent 1085714 (Feb. 1914 - filled in 1910) lists him as a Chicago resident. The patent is for a stylographic pen.

Yes, though his subsequent patents indicate Cedarhurst NY; indicating a move sometime in the 'teens. I have a location for an Inkograph store as early as 1914 in Manhattan. Trying to determine if the Chicago Wallace Pen was an earlier incarnation of Inkograph or otherwise linked.

Thanks for sharing your information.
